About this Event
Join us for a discussion of Frantumaglia! A newly republished book by Elena Ferrante!
For readers of My Brilliant Friend, Frantumaglia is an invitation into Elena Ferrante’s workshop. Gathering more than two decades of letters, essays, reflections, and interviews, it reveals the ideas, experiences, and obsessions that shaped one of contemporary literature’s most celebrated voices.
Ferrante reflects on the creative process behind the Neapolitan Quartet, her decision to remain out of the public eye, the adaptation of her novels for the screen, and the pleasures and frustrations of writing.
Where to get the book: We’ve noticed that there might be a shortage of this book in Berlin, so we’ve teamed up with Chapters Bookshop (Wilsnacker Str. 60, 10559 Berlin) to stock it. You can stop by and grab your copy there, or, if they’re out of stock, ask them to place an order for you, it should arrive in around one week. Alternatively, you can order the book online (waiting times may be up to two weeks), ask for it at a bookshop in your neighborhood, or get the e-reader version. The German edition is also available at many bookstores and on various platforms.
What to expect:This is not a space for perfect interpretations or polished opinions. We gather to speak our minds, vent, simply listen, and connect through our shared love for the author.
Please note that this event is FLINTA* only.
Reserve your spot with the commitment to show up! : Spaces are limited to keep the circle intimate. We charge €5 to cover our organizing costs and to encourage commitment to attending. A solidarity ticket is available for anyone who needs it, no questions asked.
