ELEMENTS 2026
ELEMENTS 2026 brings together 12 artists whose works demonstrate what abstraction can speak to today and its continuity within a longer, global timeline. Curated by Dr Sara Choudhrey, ELEMENTS 2026 encourages you to rethink what you know of abstraction, who it is produced by, how it may be used as a source of meaning-making, a form of documentation or as a visual language and more.
These works explore cultural, spiritual and spatial encounters, with themes of migration, loss, grief, healing, love, intrigue, self-reflection, place and space.
Abstraction has never been limited by scope of geography or time, rather what can be seen in this exhibition is that the connections artists have with their surroundings, their material world, and people, leaves an imprint of continued reflection and a sense of the human experience, in all its forms.
Works include sculptures, sound installation, woven textile, pigment painting, animation and much more.

- One of our team will meet you at reception on the ground floor. The gallery is on the fourth floor with access via a lift.

About ELEMENTS 2026
Curated and produced by artist and researcher Dr Sara Choudhrey, ELEMENTS 2026 brings focus to abstract art by artists of the Global Majority through a group exhibition at The Gramophone Works in association with Kindred Studios and with the support of Arts Council England.
