Widely regarded as one of the greatest TV dramas of all time, we mark 30 years of this classic BBC drama. First broadcast just over a year before Tony Blair reached Downing Street, Our Friends in the North was a study of change, corruption, success and failure at both the personal and the political level. The series launched the careers of Christopher Eccleston, Daniel Craig, Gina McKee and Mark Strong, who played four beautifully drawn friends. An epic, four-decade tale of a changing Britain was seen through their eyes.
We are delighted to screen the first and last episodes spanning as a highlight of this year's TV Festival. There will be an interval.
