Carpool from Invercargill to carpark on the Borland Road. Track climbs up through the forest until the treeline is reached. Can be very muddy/boggy in places. Then a poled route up steep tussock slopes to the tops. Ideally if weather allows, will camp on the tops for a beautiful sunset, but otherwise just a day walk (10 hrs return). Must be fit and either a club member or known to members.Bad weather alternative: day walk to the bushline or day walk on the North Borland Track to the rock bivvy .
