Autumn continues at EIJN! On October 24th, we warmly welcome you to a new DEEP DIVE evening in collaboration with EIJN, featuring DJ and founder of DEEP DIVE M.U. (Michele Uccheddu), and the guest niconiconico, who will shape an intimate and immersive musical atmosphere in the bar space. 📀 DEEP DIVE is an event organization born out of a deep passion for music, with the goal of creating a welcoming environment where sound, atmosphere, and human connection meet.
Throughout the evening, you will be surrounded by paintings from our new artist of the month, Matilda Enegren. By highlighting one visual artist each month, we aim to bring attention to local artistic voices and celebrate the vibrant creative scene of Ostrobothnia.
Matilda Enegren (b. 1989) holds a Master of Fine Arts from the Valand Academy at the University of Gothenburg, Sweden. She has exhibited in solo and group exhibitions in Finland and abroad, and her works are part of the collections of the Ostrobothnian Museum, Rovaniemi Art Museum, and numerous public collections in Sweden.
Working between watercolour and oil painting, Enegren approaches her subjects through close observation, exploring people, surroundings, and botanical-like forms. Her practice is drawn to what is specific yet familiar, allowing the richness of looking to become part of the work itself. In her recent investigations into the material qualities of watercolour, her paintings have gradually moved from the figurative towards a more abstract form of figuration, where pigments, colour, and observation interact and overlap.
Come and indulge in an evening of music, art, and good vibes.
A warm welcome ❤️
