Get ready for one of the most anticipated events of the year - St Mark’s Church annual Egyptian Cultural Festival 2026!For more than 40 years, this much-loved festival has been a cherished tradition in the City of Darebin, bringing together families, friends and the wider community to celebrate the richness of Egyptian culture, heritage and hospitality.
This year is particularly special as we commemorate 35 years since the consecration of St Mark’s Coptic Orthodox Church in Preston. As we mark this significant milestone, we look forward to reflecting with gratitude on the faith, culture and community that have shaped our Parish and continue to bring people together.
We warmly invite you, your family and friends to join us on across 17-18 October 2026 for a wonderful weekend filled with delicious food, vibrant culture and community spirit.
Enjoy mouth-watering meats, traditional Egyptian sweets, Mediterranean-inspired cuisine, refreshing drinks and a variety of stalls offering something for everyone. There will also be a wide range of activities for children throughout the weekend, making it a fun and enjoyable day out for the whole family.
More than simply a festival, the Egyptian Cultural Festival is an opportunity to welcome our neighbours and friends, share the rich history and heritage of the Coptic Orthodox Church, showcase the services of our Parish, and celebrate the unity and multiculturalism that strengthen our wider community.
Our doors are open to everyone. Bring your family, invite your friends and join us for two unforgettable days celebrating 35 Years of Faith, Culture & Community.
And, of course, remember the golden rule: get your meats before your sweets! We can’t wait to welcome you! #stmarkscocmelb
