The decisions made by our elected representatives have a real impact on the lives of disabled people, whānau, carers, supporters, and our wider community.
Join us for an opportunity to hear directly from local election candidates about the issues that matter most to you. This is your chance to listen, ask questions, and learn where candidates stand on topics such as accessibility, inclusion, housing, transport, community participation, and support services. Due to funding and scheduling pressures, candidates from the regions four adjoining and overlapping electorates have been invited to attend complimentary electorate events if they are able. The electorates are: Te Tai Hauāuru (Māori Electorate), New Plymouth, Taranaki-King Country, Whanganui.
We warmly welcome members of the lived experience disability community, carers, whānau, supporters, service providers, and anyone interested in creating a more inclusive Taranaki.
Whether you're voting for the first time or have voted for many years, your voice matters. We encourage everyone who is eligible to enrol and vote in the upcoming local elections. Voting is one of the most powerful ways to have your say and help shape the future of our communities.
