About this Event
Over this workshop, Dr. Costa will approach decoloniality lessons from the Global South. The workshop aims to build conversations and raise practical ideas around decoloniality and teaching. By exploring views on the coloniality present in the domains of human activity in the Global North and South, we will engage with perspectives that consider the challenges and possibilities of superdiverse classrooms. As we intersect the diversity present in schools and the (oppressive) systems that inform teachers’ work, the discussions have the objective of problematizing and reflecting on the relations between teaching pedagogies and frameworks and the coloniality of being, power and knowledge. Participants will be invited to think about their praxis while zooming in on teaching through critical and decolonial lenses.
