Edgelands is Colchester Arts Centre’s festival for the more leftfield, exploratory and tantalisingly off-piste sounds out there.The idea is simple: bring the kind of boundary-pushing work more often found in big cities to little old Colchester – without having to schlep to London.
The criteria is deliberately open: electronica, traditional instrumentation, established artists and new work. If it’s leftfield, perhaps challenging and – in our opinion at least – great, it’s in the ballpark.
Come and dip your toe in – the water’s lovely (and perhaps just a bit weird).
