Join us for our next Edendale Up Close concert – Egon Duo, featuring Marley Eder on flute and piccolo and Mircea Gogoncea on guitar. Egon Duo will play a set of music from traditional to eclectic, with a smattering of appropriately spooky inclusions to help us celebrate Halloween.
Egon Duo have performed many concerts around Los Angeles, including several for underserved communities through the Thornton Community Engagement Program at USC. Dr. Marley Eder plays flute and piccolo for Symphony San Jose and the San Luis Obispo Symphony, and has performed with the San Francisco Symphony, the London Symphony Orchestra, and performed and also recorded with the Los Angeles Philharmonic. He teaches at CSU Long Beach, Santa Monica College, Glendale Community College, and Orange County School of the Arts. Dr. Mircea Gogoncea has won awards and performed hundreds of concerts across five continents, and he is the current principal classical guitar lecturer at the UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music. He holds several university degrees including a Doctor of Musical Arts from the USC Thornton School of Music.
The Edendale library address is 2011 Sunset Blvd., but enter from the Alvarado St. side through the library parking lot. We’ll send out another reminder closer to the date.
