Ecstatic Dance, Yoga & Sound Healing Featuring Local South Asian Artists

Step into a evening of true expression ft. Indian-American performers leading Ecstatic Dance, Yoga, Pranayama (breath), and Sound healing. Start the night off with Vinyasa or Pranayama to connect, followed by dancing to magic spun by DJ Tara and LWAY, and end the night with sound healing through Indian-inspired instrumentals. Local South Asian artists will be supported all night through work displays. Immerse yourself in a celebration of rhythm and movement all while empowering your South Asian talent.

DJ Tara Verma
Tara is a house DJ based in San Francisco, CA. She fell in love with the genre after moving to the city and exploring the local scene, which she quickly integrated herself into. She found parallels between the meditative effects of house music and the mantras of her Indian culture. Tara is a strong advocate for diversifying the decks, working with Femme House and co-founding a collective called Playhouse. She regularly plays at top venues in the city, where she aims to move audiences through the energy of her dynamic sets

DJ LWAY
Being born in India, raised in Europe, and now living in California, LWAY’s nomadic background has shaped a style of music that embeds fusions of genres from all of his cultural influences. His music creates a space where you bathe in the notes of the jungle, the city, or the wind from the desert. You can find LWAY playing at clubs like Monarch, or an intimate sunrise at a park overlooking his current home of San Francisco.

Pranayama (Breath) led by Meera Dhawan
Meera Dhawan is an Indian-American Yoga educator (500 RYT) and therapist-in-training (MFT) who aims to integrate Pranayama (Yoga Breathing) for mental and spiritual clarity. She founded True To Yoga, empowering others with Pranayama, meditation, and Philosophy that draws from early inspiration and teachers in India. Join Meera for light movements and a deeply connecting breath session. As a talent enthusiast, Meera is cohosting this event to empower amazing artists on their journey of expression.

Vinyasa led by Ritika Vinyasa
Yoga came into Ritika's life during some of the toughest times. Through yoga teaching, her hope is to expand the impact she experienced - even wider! Come practice asanas with her through Vinyasa Yoga. You will find her teachings interspersed with lightness & laughter, while keeping the core focus on breath. She creates awareness & education around all 8 limbs of yoga to help students embrace yoga as a way of life; not just on the mat but through each breath.

Kiran Vajapey, a self-trained singing bowl player and Artificial Intelligence director by day, is guided by his innate rhythm, musicality, and a deep connection to his roots. Kiran weaves meditative sounds into pranayama sessions that to evoke profound tranquility. He believes in empowering artistic expression and is co-hosting with Meera to support local talent.
