This dance experience is an opportunity to explore your relationship with the void. There is no right or wrong way to experience or process the void. The void may seem empty at times and daunting. But like all things, there are multiple sides and layers. The void is also a plentiful space where rest, restoration, introspection, love and surrender dwells. This dance is an invitation to surrender and allow the void and fullness to guide you. Being open to surprise, the unknown and one's inner knowing. Being empty and full at the same time.
Welcoming your whole being to dance with the VOID-Fullness in each moment.
There will be a grounding practice, an opening circle to share intentions, a meditation/ritual/somatic practice inspired by the theme, the dance will be 1 hour and there will be a closing circle with optional sharing and a closing ritual.
Feel free to bring a yoga mat, cushion or something to sit on, and water and a journal or items to contribute to the altar if you'd like.

River Noel/Alexa Magsoudi’s Bio:
Dance has been a soulful companion throughout my life. I first discovered ecstatic dance in the Red Woods of California in 2019 and became inspired to share this embodied, community driven and holistic practice. It has been a gift to host and co-create events in Lansing, Grand Rapids and Traverse City, Michigan, along with British Columbia, Canada. Ecstatic dance offers organic body movement, feeling waves of e-motions and connecting in a space that is supportive and liberating. Dance feels like home and sharing it is a calling and return to love.
