About this Event
Join OSBC Board member Louise Ruggeri for a casual bird-sit at the spillway area between Easton and Green End Ponds.
These ponds/public reservoirs can hold a nice variety of waterfowl in the fall and winter, along with other interesting birds. I will set up some chairs, a scope and will have some extra binoculars as well. Come for the duration, or for just a little while, bring coffee, snacks, etc. This is a very informal event. All levels of birders are welcome, as are families with children. Parking: is available in the small lot at 172 Aquidneck Ave, with additional parking available next door at Taste Design, 170 Aquidneck. Trail: There is a short, flat, loose gravel trail that is about 1/10th of a mile to the sit location. There are no benches available, but you are welcome to bring a chair (I will have a couple extra.) There are no restrooms at this location, but there is a Cumberland Farms 1/4 mile from the site on Aquidneck Ave with a restroom for paying customers. Heavy rain or strong wind cancels the event.
