Join WomanACT on Thursday, November 26, 2026, for EASE in Action: Advancing Solutions to Technology-Facilitated Economic Abuse, a one-day symposium bringing together survivors, gender-based violence service providers, financial institutions, policymakers, researchers, technology leaders, privacy experts, and advocates to explore how digital financial systems can both enable and prevent abuse.

Held on Economic Abuse Awareness Day and during the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, this timely symposium will focus on practical, cross-sector solutions that strengthen survivor safety and improve responses across financial, technology, and community systems.

Grounded in survivor-informed insights and research from the first phase of WomanACT's Economic Abuse Support & Empowerment (EASE) project, this symposium will translate emerging evidence into practical strategies for policy, practice, and collaboration.

Participants will:

• Learn about emerging trends in technology-facilitated economic abuse.
• Explore how AI, digital banking, online financial systems, and emerging technologies are changing survivor experiences.
• Hear from leaders across the financial, technology, privacy, government, research, and gender-based violence sectors.

The symposium is part of WomanACT's Economic Abuse Support & Empowerment (EASE) project, which examines how emerging technologies, digital financial systems, and artificial intelligence are influencing economic abuse while identifying opportunities to strengthen prevention, policy, and survivor supports.
