About this Event
We have entered into Earth season and are at the turning point of the wheel where we begin our descent downwards into the yin. A time of reflection, and gathering up the gifts we have collected through the yang season. In order to prepare and allow for an easeful descent it is important to come to stillness and take stock of the harvest and offer thanks and praise before we begin to let go. Come and join Marika in connecting in with the earth element and spending some time settling in and acknowledging these gifts. We will work with ritual, guided visualization and embodied practices to connect in with the Earth and our Yi Spirit, thereby strengthening our personal and collective capacities to digest, assimilate and build healthy bodies, minds and communities.
The afternoon will begin with a grounding meditation to connect with the earth and our bodies, followed by teachings about the earth element and yi spirit. In order to embody this material we will work with acupuncture points, essential oils, flower essences and qi gong to strengthen our inner earth, yi, spleen and stomach. Through strengthening these we allow for better digestion and assimilation of our food, breath and lived experience; building stronger bodies, calmer minds and the capacity to live more fully and be of service to the world.
Some questions that may support your journey and the transition into autumn:
- What is your relationship with late summer/earth season look and feel like?
- What are you grateful for?
- What are you harvesting at this time?
- What does your relationship with your body, daily routine, nourishment and community look like right now?
- Where do you leak energy over worries or overwhelm?
- What would be the most nourishing thing you could do for yourself at this time?
- Are my words and actions in integrity with each other?
- Am I digesting and utilizing the gifts bestowed on me or will they rot in the fields?
