About this Event

Portfolio Builder Gathering with Jeffrey Ong & Josh Ellicock

Wednesday 21 October 2026 · 7:00–9:30pm SGT · In person at High Street Centre, 1 North Bridge Road, #13-06, S179094

Markets, alternatives, REITs, a property overseas: most of us are juggling more than one decision about our money. This evening brings two specialists together, one covering markets and one covering UK property on the ground, so you can weigh them side by side.

Meet the speakers

Jeffrey Ong is a fund manager with 29 years in finance, spanning equity research, corporate banking for real estate, and advising private clients on stocks, bonds and property. He will cover the market outlook, stocks and alternative investments. Jeffrey is also a co-founder of E&O Property Investments in the UK.

Josh Ellicock is Director of E&O Property Investments, where he runs UK operations for overseas investors: sourcing, inspections, renovations and lettings. He will cover what owning UK property from Singapore looks like in practice, from the first viewing to managing tenants years later.

What we’ll cover

  • Market outlook: where things stand going into year end
  • Alternatives: what they are, where they fit, and what changed this year
  • REITs vs physical property: how they compare once every cost is counted, and how they can work together
  • A stock idea: one idea walked through from thesis to risks
  • Builders & renovations: choosing the right people and spotting the traps before you sign
  • Owning UK property from Singapore: structure, currency, financing, life after the keys, and what upcoming UK changes to tax on rental income could mean for how you hold it
  • Open Q&A with Jeffrey and Josh

Who it’s for: anyone weighing their next move across markets and property, whether you’re just starting or reviewing an existing portfolio. There’s no hard sell and nothing to sign.

Seats at the venue are limited.

This event is for general education only and is not financial, tax or legal advice. It doesn’t take your personal circumstances into account. Investments can go down as well as up, and past performance is not a guide to future results. Overseas property carries financial, legal and currency risk. Jeffrey Ong is a co-founder of E&O Property Investments, which provides UK property services; please consider this when assessing the property content.
