It’s time to lace up, show your Eagle pride, and Glide with us! Whether you’re a 5K runner or walker, a young Eagle ready for the Fun Run (one lap around the track), or a cheerleader on the sidelines, we want you there!
Why Do We Glide?
The Eagle Glide is about bringing our community together while raising valuable funds to enhance the educational experience at River Eves. PTO membership dollars fund our annual operating budget— including staff appreciation, monthly hospitality events, $100 classroom reimbursements for all staff, mini-grants, community events like- Fall Festival, Bingo Night and Spring Fling, field trip transportation, and PBIS rewards.
The Eagle Glide raises additional funds that allow PTO to invest in special projects that make River Eves an even more engaging, welcoming, and special place for our students and staff. Recent projects include painting the front office desk and cabinets over the summer and adding new hallway directional signage. Historically, these funds have also helped purchase and install the upper-field playground equipment and shade structures, install turf in the reading garden to create an inviting and functional space for classes and small groups, and upgrade the cafeteria’s audio system. This year, we hope to fund updates to the lower-field playground, privacy screens along the upper-field playground, and additional projects from the school’s wish list.
Participation Goals- Join the #ShoeCrew
Every student who registers to participate, buys a t-shirt, donates money, or volunteers at the Eagle Glide becomes part of our Shoe Crew Wall in the gym! Our goal is to have 200 Shoe Crew members by race day!
Participation Rewards
•100 Shoe Crew members by October 5th and we will SLIME Mrs. Lavoie!
•200 Shoe Crew members by November 7th and we will turn Mrs. Gowin into a SUNDAE!
And don’t limit the fun to just your immediate family! Invite grandparents, family, neighbors, friends, and other Eagle supporters to run, walk, or make a donation. The more our community gets involved, the more we can give back to River Eves! The impact we make together—and the projects we’re able to provide—is only possible because of the incredible support of our Eagle Families. Every registration, donation, and cheering voice makes a difference!
*Register by October 5th to guarantee a t-shirt
