🧑🚀Bring out your inner astronaut and get ready for takeoff on Saturday, October 24, when the EAA Aviation Museum’s annual Space Day returns to Oshkosh, Wisconsin. 🚀Kids and adults of all ages are invited to join us for an out-of-this-world experience featuring hands-on activities, interactive exhibits, and a special presentation.
We are excited to be joined by Capt. Fred Haise as our special guest speaker, who will be joining us virtually from 4-5:30 p.m. and will be available for questions from the audience.
Capt. Haise’s extraordinary 45-year aerospace career includes serving as a fighter pilot, aeronautical engineer, NASA research pilot, and astronaut. He was the Apollo 8 and 11 backup lunar module pilot, Apollo 13 lunar module pilot, and Apollo 16 backup commander. He also helped develop the space shuttle Enterprise, became its first test pilot, and later led space shuttle service operations for Grumman Corporation, including work on Space Station Freedom (predecessor to the International Space Station).
✨ Space Day activities are free with museum admission. Lunch concessions will be available for purchase between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Learn more at EAA.org/SpaceDay
Space Day is sponsored by Alro Steel, Capital Credit Union, Community First Credit Union, Cozumel, Kwik Trip, Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Specialists, Pilotsmith, Sargento, and The Taqueria.
