About this Event
Join Latinos of Montclair and the Montclair Cultural Arts Advisory Committee to open our Día de los Muertos Community Altar, a public ofrenda where everyone is welcome to remember and celebrate their loved ones.
Artists Adrián Viajero Román and Matthew Marroquin are creating the altar, and it will be on view at Lackawanna Station from October 30 through November 2. Bring a photo, a memento, or a written memory to add.
This is a free, all-ages celebration, and everyone is welcome.
Agenda:

- 4:30 PM - Opening program with live mariachi
- 5:00 PM - Kids’ Día de los Muertos storytime
- 6:00 PM - Altar open for visiting & Arts & Crafts
Good to know:
- Free; your RSVP helps us plan
- Bring a photo and a memory of a loved one for the altar (do not bring originals you need back)
Help keep this celebration free
This event is free for everyone, and that’s made possible by our community. When you check out, consider adding a donation of any amount. Your gift supports the altar, the artists, the mariachi, and the kids’ activities.
