Our November Dyslexia Café:Dyslexia in Adult Life and Work – Confidence and Self-Advocacy
Many adults live with dyslexia quietly for years. By the time work, training, or professional demands increase, the effort involved can feel exhausting, and confidence can take a knock.
November is often a time when people begin to reflect, reassess, and ask what they need moving forward.
Our November Dyslexia Café is about understanding dyslexia in adult life and work, and building confidence to speak about needs clearly and calmly.
If you’ve been to one of our Dyslexia Cafés before, this will feel reassuringly familiar.

From 2026, all of our Dyslexia Cafés include a short, gentle opening session at the start of the morning. It’s not a lesson and not a lecture. It’s simply a shared starting point to help frame the conversation.
In November, we’ll be gently exploring questions such as:
• why work can feel harder than it should
• how to explain needs with confidence
• what helps with self-advocacy in real workplaces
After the opening session, there is plenty of time for conversation, questions, and one-to-one consultations with our specialist team.
You’re welcome to come for the opening session, drop in later, or simply stay for a chat.
This workshop is particularly suited to adults, though parents supporting older teenagers or young adults are also very welcome. The one-to-one advice sessions are open to all.
You don’t need a diagnosis, and you don’t need to have the right words yet. If you’re looking for clarity, confidence, or a way forward, you are very welcome here.
