Domestic Violence (DV) can affect children too, but this doesn't mean there's not a way to help equip them with tools.🌟 Join us on Thur, Oct 29th, 2026 at the YWCA from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. for a special Domestic Violence Awareness and Self-Defense event for youth ages 10 and up.
Kids will learn how domestic violence can affect them directly or indirectly, the importance of self-worth and self-love, and how to recognize red flags in unhealthy relationships.
This event is kid-friendly and will be taught in a easy to understand format, led by GBAAU Advocates, domestic violence advocates, and self-defense professionals. This workshop will provide valuable resources and practical safety techniques, including how to create distance, use their voice, and use physical defense as a last resort.
**Because awareness builds confidence, knowledge builds strength, and every child deserves to feel safe and know their worth.**
Bring the kids to come learn, grow, and feel empowered.
