As part of 16 Days in WA, Lifeline WA is delivering a series of free training sessions to help Western Australians recognise the signs of family and domestic violence, respond safely and compassionately, and connect people with appropriate support.This two-day DV-alert Foundations workshop is designed for frontline workers in health, allied health, education and community service settings. It explores the nature, scope, patterns and impacts of domestic and family violence, considerations for diverse communities, communication skills, safety planning and referral pathways.
By the end of the workshop, participants will be better equipped to identify and respond to the needs of people who may be experiencing domestic and family violence, respond appropriately and make effective referrals to support services.
This training is free to attend, but registration is essential as places are limited.
