As dusk falls over the cemetery, costumed interpreters will bring the real people of Sierra Vista’s past to life, sharing triumphs, hardships, and stories that shaped our community. Set at the Fry Pioneer Cemetery, the event highlights one of Sierra Vista’s most historic cultural heritage sites, where nearly 200 people—primarily of Mexican and/or Yaqui descent—are buried alongside the Fry family plot. This guided living-history tour offers a unique and memorable glimpse into our local heritage.
Plus, attendees can enjoy live Mexican guitar and vocals, along with Mexican hot chocolate and an assortment of Mexican sweets.
Guests can expect an evening of storytelling, history, and performance that honors the area’s past while making it come alive. This immersive event is free and open to the public.
