Please join us on Thursday, October 29th from 5-7PM at 11th Street Station for this month's Durango Green Drinks with hosts Visit Durango, the Durango Chapter of Citizens Climate Lobby, and the Good Food Collective. Green Drinks is a time to get together, network, gather in community, and hear from local organizations. Folks can have any kind of beverage or no beverage if they like.
The Good Food Collective works with partners from across our foodshed to collectively build a just and thriving food system. They dream of a vibrant regional food system centered around community leadership, collaboration, economic prosperity, and equity. Within this food system, all folks have agency over their food, health, and environment. They address food system challenges through systems-based approaches that consider the needs of the entire region! They work mainly in these three areas: 1) Regional convening, coordination, and support 2) Food security and health equity 3) Agricultural support.
At this month's Green Drinks, they are excited to share updates on implementation of the La Plata County Food System Plan.
The plan provides a shared vision and direction, as well as, policy, planning, and regulatory priorities for all government and food security stakeholders so as to move strategically and effectively towards a Food Secure La Plata County. Keep up to date on all of their happenings by signing up for their newsletter and follow up at @goodfoodcollectiveco on Insta/FB.
