About this Event
Master the techniques needed to level up your seams and finishes so they’re professional and made to last. Intended for beginner-to-advanced-beginner sewists: if you have used a sewing machine before, you can take this workshop! We will not be going over how to operate a sewing machine, though the instructor will happily provide advice and reminders for those who need a refresh.
- What you’ll be doing: Take your construction skills to the next level! In this session, you will learn and practice sewing flat-felled seams, French seams, and bias-bound edges.
- Do you need to bring anything? Nothing at all! All fabric, materials, tools, and sewing machines will be provided.
- What to expect: Expect a focused, 1.5-hour skill-building session. The instructor will guide you through live demonstrations, followed by hands-on practice time to perfect the three techniques.
Sewing Machine Availability
We have 10 Janome MOD-15 Easy-to-Use Sewing Machines (featuring 15 stitches, adjustable stitch length, and 5-piece feed dogs) available for attendees on a first-come, first-served basis. You are also welcome to bring your own sewing machine if you prefer!
