D&D taster session for ages 8 -14
About this Event

Have you ever wanted to be friends with a faerie dragon? Do you think you could outrun an ogre? Would you like to be able to turn yourself into a tiger? If yes, Dungeons and Dragons just might be for you!

At our D&D taster session you will be led by our Dungeon Master Librarians to learn the basics of playing the game.

  • Learn what Dungeons & Dragons is and how it’s played
  • Choose a character - options include sneaky, magical, good with a sword, beautiful singers
  • Join a team and take part in a short adventure
  • Work together to explore strange new worlds, and create new stories


This free event is part of Wee Write - Glasgow’s Book Festival for Children.


· Ages 8-14

· All resources will be provided

· Session may be split into two groups depending on age/experience to improve gameplay – this will be agreed with attendees.

Please book a ticket for players only. Adults are welcome to stay and watch the session, but do not require a ticket.
