Da Buffs is fortunate to have two members, Michael Barrett and Mark Bodnar, who have dedicated countless hours to locating, researching, and documenting the graves of Civil War soldiers buried in these historic cemeteries. Their research has uncovered the stories of many soldiers who served during the war, including those who succumbed to their wounds.Michael concentrates his research on Oakwood Cemetery, while Mark focuses on Albany Rural Cemetery. Through their shared passion for history, the two have developed a close friendship — despite a little friendly bickering over which cemetery deserves the distinction of being the best!
