Due to overwhelming demand we are glad to announce a 2 night 50th anniversary celebration of the legendary Paul Kossoff, guitarist of Free - whose sound helped shape a generation of British rock. This powerful tribute features an all-star lineup of musicians who knew and played alongside Kossoff himself:
Terry Wilson Slesser - former Beckett and Back Street Crawler frontman, sharing his personal memories of playing with Koss. John Buckton - acclaimed by Simon Kirke as “my first choice to fill Koss’ shoes” if Free ever reunited. Clive Edwards - formerly of UFO and Lionheart. Rhino Edwards - bass player with rock legends Status Quo and cousin to Clive.
Expect a night packed with authentic, soul-stirring performances of Free’s greatest hits - including tracks that echo the band’s deep ties to Sunderland, where the legendary Free Live album was recorded at The Locarno.
Also a personal dedication to Sunderland’s very own Geoff Docherty
