Hello beautiful beings 🤍✨You're warmly invited to Shakti Amara's Drum & Dance — an evening of rhythm, movement, connection, expression, and coming back home to yourself.
When: Friday, November 6th, 2026
Time: 6:30pm–8:30pm
Where: Findlay Community Centre, Dartmouth
✨ Suggested Energy Exchange: $20- $25
Please contribute what you comfortably can.
🌈 Children attend FREE with a parent or guardian!
We'll begin together with an opening circle and intention setting, followed by some shared rhythmic drumming to ground, connect, and build the energy of the space.
From there, we'll move into ecstatic dance with rhythmic drumming and percussion instruments— an invitation to tune into your body and express yourself however feels best at any given time through movement, drumming, stillness, or any combination of!
No dance or drumming experience is needed. There are no steps to follow and no right or wrong way to participate — just an invitation to be present with yourself, the music, yourself, and the community around you.
This is a substance-free, intentional space where all emotions and expressions are welcome. Talking is minimized during the dance portion to support everyone's individual journey, and participants are encouraged to move with awareness and respect for the space and one another.
✨ Primal vocalizations are welcome and encouraged.
✨ No photos or videos during the journey, helping us maintain a safe container where everyone can fully let go and be present.
We'll come back together at the end of the evening to ground, integrate, and close our circle.
Please bring:
✨ A drum or percussion instrument if you have one ( please bring extras if you wish to share)
✨ Water bottle
✨ Comfortable, layered clothing you can freely move in
✨ Bare feet recommended — indoor shoes are welcome too
✨ An open heart and willingness to explore
🥁 Some drums and percussion instruments will be available to share.
Whether you come to dance wildly, drum your heart out, shake something loose, connect with community, or simply spend an evening more deeply in your body — you are welcome exactly as you are.
