Join us for a creative afternoon of drawing and artistic expression as we welcome the fabulous Typhoid Mary to Arlene's for a special figure drawing open studio. Whether you're an experienced artist or simply looking for a fun and unique creative experience, this lively event invites participants to sketch, draw, and explore gesture, character, costume, and movement while Typhoid Mary models through a series of short and longer poses.
Known for her bold style, punk-goth-inspired performances and multifaceted contributions to the local drag scene, Typhoid Mary provides an inspiring subject for artists working in any medium. Bring your favorite drawing materials and spend an hour capturing dramatic poses, vibrant costumes, and expressive energy in a welcoming and supportive studio environment.
This event is open to Arlene's Members and registered guests of all skill levels. Come sharpen your observational drawing skills, connect with fellow creatives, and enjoy an afternoon where art and performance come together in a celebration of creativity and self-expression.
Please note: This is not a class or workshop, and no formal instruction will be provided. This is an open studio drawing session designed to give artists an opportunity to work from a live model at their own pace and in their own style. There are materials in the studio space that registered participants are free to use.
Space is limited. Advance registration is strongly recommended.
Come draw, create, and be inspired by one of the Capital Region's most talented personalities! ✨🎨👑
NOTE: For all administrative questions—such as registration issues, cancellations, or workshop attendance—please contact Arlene’s directly. Instructors are not responsible for handling these matters. You can reach us at [email protected] or call during store hours at (518) 482-8881.
