Drawing Portraits in Procreate with Mumbi Munyua
Ready to dive into digital art?
Led by the award-winning illustrator Mumbi Munyua. By the time class is over, creating digital illustrations will feel intuitive and natural as drawing with pencil and paper. The class will cover all the hidden tools and gestures you need to make creating digital illustrations easy and fun. Mumbi creates a friendly, supportive environment where both beginners and experienced artists can feel confident and unleash their creativity. Plus you'll learn how to make and share a cool time lapse video of your art!
What you'll learn:
- Setting up your first canvas
- Using the select tool, brushes, and erasers
- Creating and organizing your layers
- Adding color, texture, and effects
What’s Included:
- Personalised guidance: Mumbi will work with you at your own pace, helping you develop your individual style.
- New material each session: Fresh reference images and themes, so returning students can explore new techniques every time.
- Midway break with refreshments: Relax, chat, and enjoy a refreshing pause in a friendly atmosphere.
As a full-time illustrator, I have used Procreate for the past 10 years and it has changed the way I work. It's my favorite tool for creating art. I can draw anywhere: from my own couch to an airplane. I can undo a mistake with a simple double tap and I have all the colors I could want, with just the tap of a button (and without the hassle of cleaning up all my paints).
You can find art I've created in Procreate on greeting cards, podcast cover artwork and book covers. Want to see what I'm working on now? Follow me on instagram.
So charge up your iPads, grab your stylus and let's learn something new together!
