Drawing Hills (Post-Rock / France)
Since the summer of 2016, Drawing Hills has been crafting instrumental soundscapes at the intersection of post-rock, math-rock, and noise. The quartet builds from quiet, tension-filled passages to powerful, cathartic climaxes; their layered guitars, precise rhythms, and broad dynamic range are suited equally to focused studio listening and festival stages. Following their debut EP in November 2017, the band quickly transitioned from local shows to extensive touring: an initial European tour in 2018 (including Munich and Vienna), concerts in France later that same year (Reims, Paris, Rennes), and further European dates in 2019 (Berlin, Hamburg, Amsterdam). A second EP, recorded in 2022, was released in November of that year, and Drawing Hills toured again in 2023/24 with shows in France, Germany, and the Czech Republic. The band is expected to release its third EP in the spring of 2026—a new collection that marks both their return to live performance and a new European tour.
