While NeuroGraphica is an expressive, creative wellness practice rather than a clinical tool, it is grounded in established psychological and cognitive concepts:
- Rewiring Synapses: Drawing organic, non-repetitive lines engages neuroplasticity. It physically steers the brain away from automatic, repetitive thinking loops and opens up fresh perspectives.
- Whole-Brain Harmony: Designing the mandala’s structural geometry uses your analytical left hemisphere, while the intuitive line work engages your creative right hemisphere.
- Lowering Stress: Our visual cortex naturally flags sharp intersections and harsh angles as symbols of friction or conflict. By systematically smoothing and "rounding" every crossing line, you signal to your nervous system that conflict is resolved, bringing your body into a calm, focused flow state.
- Systemic Mapping: Epigenetics and family psychology show that we can carry ancestral stories and resilience. Visually mapping out a 7-generation structure gives your subconscious a clear, safe framework to transform abstract family blocks into a concrete source of heritage strength.
🕒 Event Timeline & Flow
To ensure a safe and integrated experience, we follow a gentle, structured arc:
- First 15 Mins: Welcome! I will share some foundational info on the practice of NeuroGraphica. We will spend some time calling in our healthy and well ancestors so we have them with us as we draw.
- Next 60 minutes: We will start to build our ancestral mandala by drawing representative shapes. We will draw lines and round them out to smooth out any internal conflict.
- Coffee Break - tea and coffee will be provided.
- Next 60 Mins: Time to return to our drawing and bring in the color. We will use markers and pencil crayons to bring our mandalas to life. We will tune into our experience by noticing what we see, feel, sense and any meanings that come up as we work. We will tap into the ancestral gifts waiting for us in the energetic field of our loving ancestors.
- Final 30 Mins: We complete our last steps of the drawing. Then we can take pride in the beauty we have created. You can take home your beautiful work.

- Location: Hosted in the executive learning environment of UBC Robson Square (Downtown Vancouver).
- Transit: Incredibly transit-friendly—just a short 3-minute walk from both the Vancouver City Centre and Granville SkyTrain stations.
- Parking: Paid underground parking is available directly beneath the building via Howe Street.
