In honor of our pop up exhibition, “Drawing Democracy,” the Sacramento History Museum presents, Drawing Conclusions, an event featuring artists, illustrators, and cartoonists. On October 10th, from 10am to 2pm, the Museum will host special guests that will share their stories and adventures. In addition to the opportunity to talk to these artists, you will have the opportunity to learn tips and techniques. There will be creative stations where you can use a small printing press to make your own print, create a cartoon, and make your very own button.
This event is in partnership with the extended program of the Association of American Editorial Cartoonists (AAEC), an organization for nationally recognized political cartoonists from across the country exploring political cartooning, satire, free expression, and democracy.
Enjoy the exhibition Drawing Democracy and come see how a drawing can make us laugh, think, question—and sometimes even challenge the status quo!
This exhibition runs through October 31, and is included with Museum admission.
