Using age-appropriate exercises based on Meisner acting techniques, students will discover one of the most important principles of acting: “Acting is Reacting.”
They'll strengthen their ability to listen, observe, respond naturally, and connect with their scene partners.
In addition, they will work with improvisation, character development, monologues, scene work, voice, movement, and physical expression.
Also will learn to analyze material, understand a character's motivation, make stronger acting choices.
Emphasis will be put on delivery, timing, breathing, posture, physicality, scene partnership, blocking, and feedback.
This class will help actors be more confident, creative, present, and authentic performers—onstage and beyond.
