About this Event
Step into the shadows this Halloween season for a one-of-a-kind cinematic experience in the hauntingly beautiful surroundings of St John’s Kirk of Perth!
On Friday 23rd October at 7:30pm, the 1920 silent film classic Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde will flicker to life on the big screen, accompanied by the thunderous, spine-tingling sound of the Kirk’s magnificent pipe organ – performed live by international award-winning organist Aaron Hawthorne.
With its centuries-old atmosphere, St John’s Kirk is the perfect setting to encounter John Barrymore's iconic portrayal of evil versus good – a tale of mystery and scandal. As shadows dance across the stone walls and the music swells, you’ll feel the story’s drama and terror in a way no ordinary cinema can match.
A night of vintage horror, live music, and spine-chilling atmosphere – the perfect precursor to Halloween. Don't forget to look over your shoulder!
Please note, this film is certificated "PG" but with the live organ soundtrack and spooky atmosphere, it may be a little scarier than usual and may not be suitable for young children.
