Join the D+Q Cooks! Cookbook Club on Sunday November 15th at 6:30 pm to share delicious food with fellow cookbook lovers!A cookbook club is like a traditional book club, but instead of talking about a book we’ve all read, we all make a recipe (or multiple recipes) from a cookbook and share pictures our dishes on the event page and all together at a gathering at the bookshop. This edition of the club will be hosted by Rebecca Lloyd and is free to attend, no rsvp is required.
For this edition of the club we are reading and cooking from So Good by Paulina Korzekwa & Tatyana Abouzeid.

In So Good, Montreal pastry chefs Paulina Korzekwa & Tatyana Abouzeid guide you through their collection of 80+ delicious recipes, from muffins, brownies, and cookies to show-stopping bakes and crowd-pleasing holiday treats. Discover vegan and gluten-free food that is truly irresistible. Their motto while developing recipes was “Is it so good that you’d bake it again and again?” If not, let’s start over and make it better. This book proves that we can bring everyone together at the table to enjoy an indulgent dessert, regardless of their lifestyle or dietary needs.
"So Good is a vibrant gluten-free and vegan baking collection that proves that inclusive baking can deliver exceptional flavor and texture. With helpful tips, timelines, and expert guidance, this book empowers bakers of all levels to create truly irresistible treats.”
– Aran Goyoaga, author of The Art of Gluten-Free Bread and creator of Cannelle et Vanille

After her celiac disease diagnosis, Paulina Korzekwa taught herself to bake and eventually opened Audacieuse Vanille (later Pâtisserie Béline), a gluten-free and vegan bakery in Verdun, Montreal. She ran the bakery, with Tatyana’s help, for eight years, until September 2024.
Tatyana Abouzeid, a graduate of the Institut de tourisme et d’hôtellerie du Québec’s pastry program, gained experience at various establishments, including l’Atelier Joël Robuchon. She joined Paulina in 2021, and they quickly became immersed in creating their unofficial vegan and gluten-free test kitchen. This book is the result of almost five years of collaboration.
