We invite you to experience the Downtown Spirit Stroll-a one-of-a-kind theatrical walking tour led by haunt hosts, where you'll visit four familair Downtown Bloomington locations and uncover the lore behind some of the area's most haunting tales.
Over the course of the evening, you'll be led by a Haunt Host and will visit four familiar downtown locations—Eaton Gallery, Von Champs Boutique, the Ensenberger Building Lobby, and the Fox & Hounds Lobby—where local actors will perform original monologues and short scenes inspired by the legends, stories, and lore surrounding these iconic spaces.
Written by local playwrights Devon Lovell and Todd Wineburner and directed by Dave Krostal, each stop offers a theatrical take on the stories that have lingered around downtown.
One important note: this isn't a history tour! The stories and characters you encounter are history adjacent and inspired by local lore. The scenes and monologues are original works of theatre—not historically accurate retellings—and may take some creative liberties with the truth. Think local legends, spooky tales, and theatrical imagination all rolled into one.
Total walking tour is less than 90 minutes. Plan for approximately 1 mile of walking throughout the Downtown Spirit Stroll.
