Why September 25? It's a little homage to Dolly Parton's 9 to 5. 9/25 = 9 to 5. 😉
For two days, Downtown Burlington is getting a little more Dolly.
Expect pink, big hair, rhinestones, Dolly music, butterflies, special treats and activities, and plenty of reasons to wander around downtown. Participating businesses will be putting their own spin on Dolly Days, so we'll keep updating this event as we hear what everyone has planned.
But this isn't just an excuse to wear pink and tease our hair.
At the heart of Dolly Days is kindness, community and giving back. Participating businesses are encouraged to choose a local nonprofit or cause that's important to them, whether that means donating a portion of sales, collecting needed items, hosting an organization, raising awareness or finding another way to help.
RANDOM ACTS OF DOLLY
Throughout downtown, look for butterfly-shaped Random Acts of Dolly. Take one that speaks to you and do a little good.
It might ask you to help a neighbor, compliment a stranger, donate something that's needed, refill a Little Free Library, leave an extra-good tip or reach out to someone who could use a little kindness.
No purchase necessary. No credit required. Just take a butterfly and make somebody's day a little better.
Friday, September 25 will kick off the kindness with Random Acts of Dolly and activities throughout downtown.
Saturday, September 26 we'll keep the kindness going and turn up the Dolly. Wear your pink, fluff up your hair and come spend the day downtown!
More participating businesses, nonprofit partnerships, specials, activities and Dolly ridiculousness will be added as plans come together. 💗
Come downtown. Wear pink. Support local. Do something kind.

The Beancounter Coffeehouse & Drinkery

A locally owned downtown coffeehouse and café serving handcrafted coffee and specialty drinks, boba, baked goods, breakfast and lunch.

Burlington Black Water Mini Golf & Mississippi Moon Ice Cream Parlor

A family-friendly downtown destination combining a restored historic 1930 indoor miniature golf course with an old-fashioned ice cream parlor serving locally made Hinterland Dairy ice cream, sundaes, shakes and floats.

Burlington By The Book

An independent downtown bookstore offering books for all ages, local authors, children's books, gifts, toys and more.

Burlington Vintage & Co.

An eclectic vintage and gift shop filled with vintage furniture and décor, locally inspired Burlington items, locally made goods, nostalgic candy and plenty of unusual finds.
💗 Dolly Days: With help from Musty Tomes, Burlington Vintage & Co. will have Little Free Library refill boxes available for anyone who knows a local library that could use more books. We'll also be giving free children's books to kids.
The Capitol Theater
