Help us color the sky at the first-ever Douglass Park Kite Festival!
Join us for food, music, art-making, community fun, and of course — KITES!
Everyone loves flying a kite, but many of us haven’t done it in years.
Bring the family, pack a picnic blanket, and come enjoy a joyful day in the park.
Don’t have a kite? A limited number of free kites will be available while supplies last.
Presented by the Chicago Park District with support from Lawndale Pop-Up Spot, Art West, One Lawndale Arts & Activism Incubator, Riot Fest, Mayor's Office of Community Safety, and Red Line Service.
***Event Location Note:The festival will take place on the south side of California Ave. + Ogden Avenue near the turf soccer field, tennis courts, and Willow Pond in Douglass Park.
