About this Event
What is Double Eleven?
If you're a fan of Asian culture, you might already know that Double Eleven (11/11) has become a big deal in China. In Chinese, a single person is sometimes called a "guānggùn" (光棍)—literally, a "bare stick"—and four lonely sticks (11/11) turned into a cheeky celebration of being single.
Originally, it was a day for singles to treat themselves—because why not celebrate living life on your own terms? But rather than encourage more shopping, we think Double Eleven is a great excuse to get together, meet new people, and create some meaningful memories.
