267th Dore Scout Group Annual Fundraiser Bonfire and Firework Display 2026Our traditional Bonfire Night Celebration is on the 7th of November at Parker's Field in Dore. The field is adjacent to Parkers Lane - S17 3DP/ Rushley Road - S17 3EH in Dore. The entrance is on Parkers Lane.
Our signs advertising the event can be found on Parker’s Field and in the centre of Dore. This event is to raise much needed funds for our Scout Group so we can continue to maintain our Scout Hut, run our mini bus, and provide a wide range of activities for our members.
Bonfire wood
If you have any wood for the fire, it can be dropped off at Parkers field on the 24th and the 31st October 10am-1pm. Please take onto the field. Do not leave at the gate.
We will not be accepting MDF, laminates, foliage or wood coated in creosote; but would appreciate any other wood especially doors and pallets.
We cannot collect any wood this year due to a shortage of volunteers.
Bonfire Night
On the 7th of November:
Please use the main entrance on Parkers Lane (S17 3DP). Do not climb over the walls as there is barbed wire around the field boundary that can't be seen at night.
Please don’t bring sparklers or any type of firework for obvious public safety reasons.
Pay at the gate on the night. We accept cash and card payments. If paying by cash, please bring the correct amount so entry is quick and easy. Extra donations will be gladly received.

Children £4
Under 5s free.
Specials:
2 adults & 2 young people or 4 under 18s £15
Timing: Gates open: 6pm; the fire will be lit at 7.15pm; followed by our firework display at 7.30pm.
This gives plenty of time to allow everyone to get onto Parker’s Field and browse the different stalls.
We offer: the chance to buy flash novelties; hot & cold drinks; mulled wine; baked potatoes with different fillings; roast chestnuts; treacle toffee; toffee apples; our famous burgers & hotdogs; and pulled pork baps with apple sauce and stuffing.
Please arrive early to enter the site, buy food, drinks and flash novelties so queuing is avoided.
Listen-out for our own PA system. David Hayes entertains and gives us useful info as the night proceeds.
Thank-you to all our volunteers -those Leaders and parents who help prepare the event and support us on the night and after to clear the field and store our equipment.
