About this Event
Don't let it slide: Community Panel Event is an in-person discussion for residents, professionals, community groups and anyone interested in inclusion and community cohesion.
About the event
Join an open community discussion as part of Islamophobia Awareness Month 2026. Residents, community leaders, professionals, faith representatives and partner organisations will explore how Islamophobia can become normalised when left unchallenged and what we can all do to address it.
Through expert insights, lived experiences and audience discussion, the panel will examine the impact of Islamophobia in everyday life, barriers to reporting incidents, and everyone’s role in creating safer, more inclusive communities. Attendees will also hear about local support, reporting pathways, and practical ways to challenge discrimination and support those affected.
Who can attend
The event is open to everyone, including residents, voluntary and community groups, faith organisations, public sector professionals, and anyone interested in promoting understanding, inclusion and community cohesion.
Closing session
The session will conclude with audience participation, networking opportunities and light refreshments. Together, let’s ensure we don’t let it slide.
