Bring what you don't wear. Leave with something you'll love.
Doncaster Wardrobe Rescue is a free community clothes swap. Swap a jumper for a jacket, a shirt for a skirt. No money changes hands. Just good clothes finding new people instead of landfill.
Warm and connected
This one is about getting through the winter well.
Coats, jumpers, scarves, gloves, warm layers. If you've got them and you're not wearing them, bring them in. If you need them, come and take them.
There'll be information and a few friendly faces on hand if you want to know what support is around locally over the colder months. No pressure, no forms. Just ask if it's useful, or don't.
Come and browse, sit down with a cup of tea, and stay as long as you like.
How it works
Bring clean, wearable clothes, bags or accessories. You'll get one swap ticket for each item you bring in. One ticket gets you one item.
Everyone gets one ticket on arrival, whether you've brought something or not.
We're a small community swap and the rails are only as full as what people bring, so the ticket system keeps things fair and makes sure there's something left for whoever walks in at half past one.
If you're not able to bring anything this time, come and find us. We'll always sort you out.
Drop your items in from 10am so the rails are full when browsing starts at 11am.
Not sure how any of it works? Someone will be on the door to help you.
Also on the day
A mending and sewing table, where you can learn simple repairs that keep clothes going for years. Bring something that needs a hem, a button or a small fix.
Refreshments, and plenty of seating.
And we'll introduce you to Closet Remix, a free app built here in Doncaster that helps you build outfits from the clothes already in your wardrobe. The swap is a good start. Making more of what you already own is where the real change happens.

Finding us
We're in the Paddington Room on the first floor at DGLAM, Waterdale, DN1 3BZ. Lift access is available. There's seating throughout, an accessible toilet, and you're welcome to stay as long as you like. We're a few minutes from the Frenchgate interchange and the Waterdale car park.
Carers and companions are very welcome.
Nothing goes to waste
Anything not swapped is sorted and passed to local charities including Phoenix and The Clothing Bank, so it reaches people who need it. Items beyond wear go for textile recycling.

Registering here helps us plan, but it isn't required. Turn up on the day and you're welcome.

Photography
We take photographs at our events to show our work and to report to our funders. If you'd prefer not to appear in any photographs, please let a member of our team know when you arrive and we'll make sure you're not included. You can also ask us to remove a photograph at any time afterwards by emailing [email protected].
We ask a parent or guardian to give permission before we photograph anyone under 18.
