Don McLean American Pie 55th Anniversary Tour – October 2026More than 50 years after American Pie reshaped popular music, Don McLean returns to Australia this October to mark the song’s 55th anniversary. Still touring at 81, McLean continues to captivate audiences with performances that celebrate a catalogue woven into the cultural fabric of the late 20th century and beyond.
From the iconic opening lines of American Pie to beloved classics such as Vincent (Starry, Starry Night), Castles in the Air, and And I Love You So, his concerts are more than performances — they are shared memories brought to life. McLean also reflects on the stories behind the songs, adding intimacy and depth to the experience.
Released in 1971, American Pie remains one of the most recognised songs in modern music, but McLean’s legacy extends far beyond a single hit. His body of work stands among the most enduring in contemporary songwriting. This tour offers Australian audiences a rare chance to reconnect with a true musical icon.
