A Celebration of Our Appalachian QueenSeptember 25 | Fayetteville, WV
Community festivities throughout the day + 5–9 PM evening celebration
On 9/25, we're giving a little nod to “9 to 5” and coming together to celebrate an Appalachian icon who showed the world how much good can come from a big heart, a little kindness and a whole lot of sparkle. This is part of the celebrations taking place on Dolly Day.
Join us for a day to celebrate Dolly, a community celebration honoring Dolly through books, kindness, music and making the world a little brighter.
6 PM | Coat of Many Colors Community Reading

This isn't about saying goodbye with sadness alone.
It's about celebrating a woman from the mountains who reminded generations of Appalachians to be proud of where we come from, dream big, give generously, laugh often, be unapologetically ourselves and leave the world a little brighter than we found it.
So grab your quilt. Tease up your hair. Bring a children's book. Wear something sparkly.
Let's make Fayetteville shine a little brighter for our Appalachian Queen-Dolly Parton.
