We’re changing that.
DOG OWNER EDUCATION DAY
Sat 21 Nov · Warley Woods, Birmingham B67 5ED
This is the workshop I wish I’d had when we first brought Lily home as an 8-week-old puppy.
Together, we’ll explore:
• Body language and communication - recognise when your dog feels comfortable, worried or overwhelmed, and understand how to respond.
• Training and socialisation - learn how dogs learn, how to build useful everyday skills and how to help them feel confident in the world.
• Everyday health and wellbeing - understand how exercise, rest, enrichment and nutrition work together to support a fulfilling life.
• Canine first aid awareness - recognise emergencies and learn how to take action while getting veterinary help.
• Prepare for the unexpected - know what steps to take if your dog goes missing or is involved in a dog fight.
• Safer choices - explore insurance, responsibilities as a dog owner, safe travel and what to look for when choosing a dog walker, pet sitter, daycare or boarding service.
Lily will bring the learning to life through demonstrations of body language, everyday cues, play and rest, since some things are easier to understand when you see them in action.
Your place also includes a dog first-aid kit to take home, guidance on using the supplies and access to an online library of practical resources, checklists and emergency information.
Leave with a clearer understanding of your dog’s needs, useful skills to implement in everyday life and a clear plan for situations you hope you’ll never have to face.
