As spring training heats up and Opening Day nears, the Free Library invites baseball fans and history lovers alike to an exclusive first look at the upcoming five-part docuseries My Father, Dick Allen—a compelling portrait of one of the game’s most electrifying and misunderstood legends.
Told through the intimate lens of family, the series charts Dick Allen’s extraordinary rise from his barrier-breaking early years in Philadelphia to his MVP season on Chicago’s South Side, culminating in his long-overdue induction intothe National Baseball Hall of Fame.
