THE BEST SUMMEREncore screening + Q&A
The Best Summer plunges audiences into the 1995 Summersault tour, as Beastie Boys, Sonic Youth, Foo Fighters, Pavement, Rancid, The Amps and Bikini K*ll travel across Australia and Southeast Asia. Shot entirely on Tamra Davis's handheld camera, the film captures explosive performances alongside candid backstage encounters and fleeting friendships. Rediscovered nearly 30 years later, Davis's footage offers an intimate portrait of artists at a pivotal moment in alt rock history, a vivid time capsule of independent filmmaking in the mid 90s.
