Sunday sounds, the Django way.On Sunday 27 September, from 3–6pm, we’re bringing the sounds of Django Reinhardt and the legendary Quintet of the Hot Club of France to life.
Django Reinhardt was the celebrated guitarist and soloist of the Quintet of the Hot Club of France, a group that dominated the European jazz scene from the 1920s through to the years following WWII.
For this special afternoon at Fanny’s, Craig Denham on accordion & vocals, Nathan Torvik on mandolin & guitar, and Paul Gilmour on guitar will take you through a swinging set featuring some of the Hot Club’s classic gypsy jazz tunes, beautiful musette waltzes, blues-based originals and acoustic swing standards from the American songbook.
Come along for an afternoon of seriously good live music, cold drinks and plenty of swing.
